Today, Zoo world introduced 'mission animals' to some zoos.
NOT ALL ZOOS WILL HAVE THE MISSION FEATURE, YET!
It's only being rolled out to randomly selected people; most likely to be the beta testers. If you've been selected to participate - you'll see this new heart icon near the breeding stork, in your zoo :
It works sort of like the humpback whales, in the manner that you have the option for you & friends to 'save' animals. You need 10 people to successfully complete a 'save.'
As with most things in zoo, you 'unlock' higher levels as you complete the lower levels. CLICK on the heart icon, to go to the missions page. You will see the first animal you have the option to 'save' is the teacup pig.
Once you have successfully saved one teacup pig - you'll unlock the full 'easy' level.Once you've saved 5 of those 'easy' animals - you will unlock 'medium' animals ... and so on and so forth.
TRY TO REMEMBER TO NOT "SKIP" or close the window when posting for help .. if you do - you'll have to wait 8 hours until the next time you can post !!
The first 10 people to click will receive a red mushroom as a prize for helping.
Once you've had 10 people click the link to save the animal - you are each supposed to receive one of the animals you saved. *there are bugs, right now - a lot of missing animals - zoo world is aware and 'working on it'*
Also, once you and friends have saved an animal - you can post a bonus for friends to collect, to celebrate!
It's not a tree .. it's not a topiary or sculpture .. it's money, baby! :)
You'll get as much money from these mission bonuses as you do when someone 'levels up' -- so make sure you have one of your favorites tabs set to Zoo World Bonus Checker and go get some cash !
also - I was away in real life for a few days and I missed blogging about a few new things .. oops!
so - here's a quick update of the things I missed !
- Theaters were finally introduced and they're just as predictable as the last few buildables. (zzzzzzz) There's 5 pieces - collect 10 of each - voila! you get a big, bulky theater for your zoo. *claps hands, sarcastically*
- There were two new animals put up for adoption on 'the feed.' Both of the animals are birds and they were introduced sometime last week - the painted stork and the red footed booby.
- There's also a bunch of new, silly little animals available in the shop for real money & wild life points. I don't know what ones are new and what ones are the same junk I've scrolled past a thousand times - so ... go have a look around! ;)

why cant i play the mission animals too??? Been trying since day 1 and can't get the yellow heart WHY????

I am very happy to see someone posting stuff about Zoo that actually knows what they're talking about. Kudos!
